(Still researching Big Lu.) A trumpet player in the Navasota High School Band, Lou Valenzuela joined his brother Mike in his band in the 60's and they formed a successful Tejano group that recorded many albums. His stage name was Lu Valeny. Unfortunately he died of a heart attack when just 42 years old. Still, Big Lu managed to make around fifteen albums.

One of my favorite bands of that era. Big Lu put out a lot of awesome orchestal tejano music and great songs. Am proud to have lived to witness such talent..
